Dozens of bands and artists, 2 days, 2 stages. The scramble from stage to stage trying to catch the acts we wanted to see, some performing at the same time. Sneaking booze and water (both not allowed) in a loaf of bread, lol. The crazy swarm of people at the ONE water station selling wee bottles of water for a pound of flesh. The finger-lights that saved us from the dark port-a-potties. The SMART telecom people selling festival kits filled with cheapo logo-covered water canteens, tank tops and foil mat- which we bought because of the foil mat we need to stake our spots and sit our butts down. The random survey people asking stuff in exchange for iPhone earbuds. This one dude probably out of his mind, twitching solo to Kaskade and then passing out in his own puke. The amazing clean up people. The girls who all came in same shorts and tank tops. The cringy moment when Empire of the Sun’s Luke Steele shoved the mic into a random’s face who didn’t know the song. Listening to Kaskade with huge fireworks filling the night sky. Empire of the Sun, Up Dharma Down, Kendrick Lamar and Red Hot Chili Peppers’ 90-minute set and encore.
