Cotton On Philippines Opening

Last Friday, Australia’s Cotton On opened its first Manila branch’s doors (in SM Mall of Asia) to the public. It is the latest addition to the Suyen Corp. (Bench) line-up. In a nutshell, Cotton On to me is easy, young and on-trend.

As early as before 9am, people were already lining up for the opening. We were the first batch to get in the store and were among those given gift vouchers which gives a P500 discount for every P1,000 spent.

This first store isn’t notably larger than average so although shoppers came in batches so as not to overcrowd the space, it was still a tight squeeze between racks and displays. The organised line outside was great though. There was a photo booth inside where you can have your photo taken holding surf boards with a beach background.. so Straya. Haha.

Cotton On Manila OpeningUpdate your wardrobe with some of this season’s trends: peplum detailing, lace dresses and printed light woven shirts that come in basic colours, hints of screaming neons and rich wine reds and bottle greens. They even carry cool square shirts of bands and artists you may love such as Ramones & Michael Jackson among others. These boxy, formless shirts are great if you love customising your clothing, there’s just so many possibilites.

Get a few of the trendier pieces and mix them in your daily wardrobe. Obviously don’t wear them all together. I love the skinny jeans, long sleeved peplum tops in delicate sea spray green and basic v-neck shirts in burn-out knits. Excited to see the new stock, as they were running out of things as early as their first day!
